Ingredients
- Recommended Equipment
- For the Ice Cream Base
1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- For the Cookie Dough
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Tbsps White Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Flour
Dash of Salt
4 oz Milk Chocolate Bar or 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
Directions
- For the Cookie Dough
- In a bowl combine the brown sugar, white sugar, butter, and vanilla extract. Use an electric hand mixer to mix the ingredients together until light and fluffy, for about 30 seconds.
- Add the flour to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave the flour in 30 second increments, for three rounds, whisking in between each round, to heat treat the flour.
- Once the flour is heat treated, whisk in the salt.
- Add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients. Use an electric hand mixer to mix the dry ingredients in with the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Break up the chocolate bar into chunks and add it to the cookie dough. Stir the chocolate chunks into the cookie dough.
- Place the cookie dough into the fridge while you make the base.
- For the Ice Cream
- In a mason jar, combine the heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Place the lid on the jar and shake it for about 30 seconds until the sugar is dissolved.
- Once shaken, pour the ice cream mixture into a plastic container.
- Take half a cup of the cookie dough, break it up into chunks and sprinkle it into the ice cream mixture.
- Place the ice cream mixture into the freezer for 4 hours or until completely frozen.
- Once frozen, scoop and enjoy.
