Ingredients

Directions

  • Add the butter a small sauté pan on medium heat. Stir until the butter is melted.
  • Add the pecans to the butter and stir on medium heat for one minute.
  • Once the minute is up, then sprinkle two tablespoons of sugar on top of the pecans. Stir the sugar and pecans together for about two minutes. At this point the pecans should be toasted and your sugar should be caramelized.
  • In a mason jar combine the heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and 3 remaining Tbsps of sugar.
  • Add the butter pecan mixture to the jar. Put the lid on the jar and shake the ice cream mixture for about 30 seconds to combine the ingredients.
  • Pour the ice cream mixture into a freezer safe container. Place the ice cream in the freezer for 5 hours or until completely frozen. Once frozen, scoop and enjoy.
