Ingredients

  • Recommended Equipment
  • Ball Mason Jar

  • For the Coffee Ice Cream
  • 1 tsp Hot Water

  • 1 tsp Instant Coffee (I use Starbucks VIA)

  • 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 1/4 Cup Sugar

  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Directions

  • Add the instant coffee and hot water to a mason jar. Use a spoon to stir the coffee and help it dissolve.
  • Add the heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla to the mason jar. Put the lid on the jar and shake it for 30 seconds until combined.
  • Remove the lid from the jar and place the ice cream in the freezer for at least 5 hours, or until the ice cream is completely frozen.
  • Once the ice cream is frozen, scoop and enjoy!

  1. Can erythritol be used to replace the sugar?

    • You know, I haven’t tried erythritol before in ice cream. I’ve used splenda, and that works, but it does make the ice cream freeze a bit harder.
