Candy Cane flavored ice cream with bits of candy cane swirled throughout.

Ingredients

  • 4 Candy Canes

  • 2 Tbsps Hot Water

  • 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 1/4 Cup Sugar

  • 1 Drop Mint Extract

Directions

  • In a mason jar, combine the heavy whipping cream, and sugar.
  • Remove the wrappers from the candy canes. Break two of them up into chunks and add them to a microwave safe bowl. Add in the hot water. Use the spoon to help stir the candy canes in the water.
  • Microwave the candy canes and water in 30 second increments, stirring between each round, to help the candy canes dissolve into the water.
  • Once the candy canes are mostly dissolved, add the candy cane liquid into the cream mixture.
  • Add the remaining two candy canes to a ziplock bag. Seal it shut, and crush up the candy canes until they’re very fine.
  • Add the crushed candy canes to the ice cream mixture.
  • Add in the one drop of mint extract.
  • Put the lid on the jar and shake it for about 30 seconds to combine the ingredients.
  • Remove the lid from the jar, and freeze the ice cream mixture for at least 4 hours until completely frozen. Making sure to stir the ice cream every two hours or so, to keep the candy canes from settling to the bottom.
  • Once frozen, enjoy!
